What are barefoot shoes?
Barefoot shoes are shoes that simulate the feeling of walking barefoot and protect the foot from injuries caused by stones, sharp objects or rough surfaces. Barefoot shoes are designed to be as minimalist as possible so that the focus is on the unrestricted barefoot experience. The sole of our barefoot shoes is very thin and exceptionally flexible. This means that it can adapt optimally to the respective surface and transmits the sensory stimuli unfiltered to our nervous system.
Better health thanks to the most natural way of walking in the world
Walking barefoot has many health benefits and is a natural way of moving: our ancestors walked barefoot, some indigenous peoples still walk barefoot today and everyone is born barefoot. Our feet, with their 26 bones, many muscles and tendons, are made for just that. When walking with shoes, however, only a few foot muscles are used. The reason for this is the stiff sole of the shoes - comparable to a plaster cast, which severely restricts and prevents the foot from moving. This often causes muscular problems - a fact that very few people question.
The solution: barefoot for better health.
More exciting topics in our barefoot world
Due to their properties, barefoot shoes can be used almost anywhere. Thanks to constant development and the combination of high-tech design and traditional shoemaking, there are barefoot shoes for almost every occasion and for every age.
These are the advantages of our barefoot shoes
Our barefoot shoes offer several advantages compared to conventional shoes. Thanks to years of development work, everyone can experience the barefoot feeling as authentically as possible. When selecting materials and design, comfort and protection of the feet are always the top priority. Our shoes are produced in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany, directly in our barefoot shoe factory: Made in Germany.
Ergonomic design based on nature
Our feet are a true miracle . Numerous bones, muscles and tendons ensure that we can run and jump and achieve top athletic performances every day. Our feet need to be as flexible as possible in order to be able to adapt to the different surfaces on which we move every day.
We have designed the toe box of our shoes so that none of the toes are crushed. This allows our feet to spread out in the shoe. The result is healthy, fanned-out toes, i.e. a completely natural toe spread . This prevents in particular a misalignment of the big toe joint ( hallux valgus ), which affects one in three people over the age of 65.

Tips for getting started with barefoot running
If you want to switch from conventional shoes to barefoot shoes, you should start slowly and prefer short distances. The foot has to get used to the new freedom of toes and the direct contact with the ground. Many people get sore feet at first because the foot muscles have to be rebuilt. The distances you run can be increased gradually. The positive effects of barefoot running become apparent after a short time.
